Ashihara International Summercamp Kihon 2017

23-25th of june . This edition of the Ashihara International Summer Camp was once again a beautiful success for the AIKO with participants from Russia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Romania, Ireland, Belgium, Turkey and a delegation from the Dutch Dojos. Sensei Marc de Roodt proved again able to set up a beautiful camp with over 130 participants including 14 candidates for a Dangrade degree.Three days with 14 training sessions ranging from Cardioboxing to MMA and especially Ashihara training.
The growth of AIKO provides a lot of activities for the coming year. In addition to this summer camp, Roy and Henk Nispeling Kodocup was a great success. AIKO Greece organizes a major international tournament in December 2017, the Hungarian section holding a large summer camp from 14 till 18 August at Ballaton Lake. Romania has plans for a major seminar as well as Turkey and Italy. The winter camp of Doragon Dojo will take place in November 2017 in Hengelo gld, with various foreign instructors (Marc Howes, Todd Reeves, Terry Birket) It was a pleasure to see the many foreign instructors and students working together and the camp was closed with the traditional “kumite” section in which the Dangrade candidates finish their 30 and 40 matches. No less than 14 candidates reached the finish line and could proudly receive their Dangraad after 3 days of hard work. Marcel van de Berg, instructor of Doragon Dojo, received from Dave Jonkers Shihan his Yondan (4th Dan) for his contribution and support within the AIKO.
